Here’s how you can care for a dementia caregiver today:

From now until June 30th, our Board of Directors, staff, and community members are working to raise $10,000 and fund 300 hours of respite care and resources for dementia care partners through the Dementia Alliance of NC Caregiver Assistance Program.

The Dementia Caregiver Assistance Program is designed to help families throughout the state receive one-time or short-term financial assistance in a time of need, allowing caregivers to get relief or needed resources to aid in their caregiving journey.

The Dementia Caregiver Assistance Program has helped care partners:

  • Rest and recharge to avoid burnout.
  • Attend critical and life-saving medical appointments.
  • Juggle the responsibilities of caregiving and the demands of daily life.
  • Travel for special occasions.
  • Maintain employment.
  • Get support from an aging life care professional.
  • Get a home safety evaluation.
  • And more!

Demand for this program is through the roof.

In just 10 short months, 40 care partners from 18 counties in NC have received caregiver assistance vouchers supporting nearly 2,000 hours of respite!

Funds are urgently needed today! The demand for this program has already exceeded the budget for this year!

Here’s how your donation makes a difference:
