Our belief is that everyone impacted by dementia deserves support and optimal quality of life. The volunteers who generously donate their time to support our belief are among the best examples of this impact.
Volunteers are critical to the successful operation of our family services, and the positive relationship we foster with the community.
As a volunteer you might be able to share information and resources at a community resource or health fair, check in education workshop attendees, or learn to be a music detective. You may answer caregiver calls in the office or help with events such as walks, golf tournaments and our gala.
We are happy to work with you to put your specific skills and expertise to use supporting DANC families.
If you are interested in directly interacting with those living with dementia, we highly suggest you consider volunteering with assisted living memory care, adult day programs, a memory café, respite program or hospice in your immediate area.
While some of our volunteers do work with people living with dementia through Music and Memory, Support Group Facilitation, and events, we do not provide direct care services.
