You have the power to create joy and connection for people living with dementia in NC.
From now until June 30th, our Board of Directors, staff, and community members, are working to raise $30,000 and create 30 new Music and Memory at Home Kits.
Music and Memory at Home is an evidence-based program which helps people living with dementia find renewed joy and connection to life through musical favorites.
Our trained staff and volunteers engage persons with dementia and their family or care partner on how to identify beloved music, develop a personalized playlist, and use the Music & Memory at Home Kit, which includes a digital music player uploaded with the person’s favorite music, headphones, a Bluetooth speaker and written guides.
Last year over 80 North Carolinians received a Music and Memory at Home kit. But there are over 180,000 people living with dementia in NC and we need to do more.
That’s why we are launching the Give the Gift of Music Campaign in support of Music and Memory at Home and Dementia Alliance caregiver support programs, which have brought immeasurable comfort and happiness to countless families like Sarah’s.
Dedicated community partners have already stepped up to providing critical operation support in addition to sponsoring 50 Music and Memory Kits.
From now until June 30th, our goal is to raise an additional $30,000 to fill 30 more Music and Memory at Home Kits.
